The protagonist of Requiem's l'Momento Nostalgique storyline. Godefroy was born in the small village of Cloudbay-upon-Chomeur in Ouvrard sometime around 6C 45. At the age of 7, he and his sister Lucelina Guiot De Saint-Pierre were sent off to live with their grandparents and their guardian, Marcellus Delacroix in the village after the disappearance of their father Gilebertus. It was while living with their grandparents that the two would befriend Adenulphus Renou Leandre, a young orphan working as a mechwalker mechanic's assistant.
At the age of 13, Godefroy and Adenulphus would undergo compulsory military service and be stationed into the Montou Garde-Frontiere. During this service at the age of 16, Godefroy and Adenulphus would witness the true horrors of warfare, as during a standard exercise in the region of Lykoi, their post came under attack by terrorists from the terrorist group Paratore. The two would go AWOL from their post, fleeing aboard the airship l'Ciel Azur to the village of Cairnveldt before returning to the village of Cloudbay-upon-Chomeur to get Lucelina.
In the region of Steelmouth the group would reunite with their former guardian Marcellus Delacroix who unbeknownst to them was now a member of the East Winds sky pirate gang. Delacroix taught them how to survive, how to fight and more importantly: How to pilot the mechwalker l'Momento Nostalgique.
Sometime during the winter of 6C 61, Marcellus would suffer a blow to the head after surviving a fall down a hillside in the Frontieres Angouris. This blow to the head would cause a sudden shift in Delacroix's personality, with him abandoning Godefroy and his siblings in the Momento Nostalgique deep within the frost-bitten taigas of the frontier. The trio survived thanks to Lucelina repairing the interior heating systems inside the mechwalker.
Personality:
Godefroy is generally kindhearted yet a little gruff at times. Besides this general gruff nature, he's outgoing and always willing to help others in need and is willing to throw his life on the line when his family or loved ones are in danger. He will outright refuse to directly kill anyone unless they are a threat to him, his siblings or his allies and has refused several contracts involving hits on other crews. At times he also displays a somewhay dry and deadpan sense of humor, trading insults with anyone who picks a fight with him and often cracking wise at unfortunate times. His sense of humor is actually a coping mechanism he uses to deal with his personal trauma experienced during his time in the Garde-Frontière and from his experiences as a Transient.
Inspiration: My main inspirations behind Godefroy were based somewhat on the better aspects of myself. His general personality and humor would be somewhat inspired by Colonel Jack O'Neill from Stargate SG-1 (as strange as that sounds) as well as loose inspiration from the character Red Savarin from Solatrobo: Red The Hunter.
