FurAffinity hacker bodied by the collective internet, nothing of value lost
You can't make this shit up if you tried.
By Red Savarin! | August 21st, 2024

UPDATE AS OF 8-21-2024 @ 12:07PM: According to a thread by the hacktivist group NullBulge, the perpetrator behind these attacks is a NEO-NAZI CATGIRL NAMED PLOOPY. Let that boil around in your heads for a minute, folks. The hacker was a fucking catgirl (aka a borderline furry) who wanted to scam people with shitcoin tokens. Of all the things I expected this year, a nazi catgirl hacking FA was not one of them.

On August 20th at 12:48AM, it was found that popular furry site FurAffinity had been hijacked by an unknown third party. For a few days, the site redirected to a phishing site that mimicked the original before being redirected to a 2017 article in the Washington Post about an undercover sting operation on a group of, well, I'll just say woodchipper fuel for the sake of not going into it (I don't want to really link the article either due to it's contents, I apologize). The current owners would later warn users not to access the site for the forseeable future as the site had compromised.

Now, what is this news doing on a gaming news site, you may ask? Well, as a furry myself (should be pretty obvious by now if you've been on my sites long enough) this is news that I'd say is relevant to me and possibly relevant to a few readers. I also wanted to bring attention to it due to the recent turn of events that has transpired over the last 24 hours. Trust me when I say that the title is not clickbait and this hacker did end up getting themselves chokeslammed through the floor of the internet.

Anyways, this afforementioned hacker had managed to get access to the site itself due to it's registrar having bad DNS security to redirect to a phishing site and later to the afforementioned article in the Washington Post. The hacker would go on to get a hold of the official FurAffinity Twitter account which they would rename to "IEatKiwi4Lunch", a name that would be later revealed to be unrelated after KiwiFarms put up an announcement on their front page stating that they weren't responsible for the attack. Essentially, they also think this person was a complete tool!

So that makes two enemies and counting thus far. Said hacker would go on to spam dozens of messages, all loaded with your typical anti-furry schizo shit. Your typical "oh, the furry fandom is full of degenerates" (no shit, every community is full of weirdos, tell me something we don't know). They also proceeded to spam the account with furry porn. Ya know, spamming the very thing that FA is known to have a metric ton of? This was all before the account was inevitably nuked for a short bit before being brought back up. As if to make this hacker even more of a scumfuck, he then proceeded to hijack the Twitter handle of the recently deceased owner of the site, Dragoneer, where he would post the below tweet before it was subsequently deleted:

So you might be thinking to yourself "How can this subhuman get even worse? HOW can he bury himself even more than he already has?" The answer to this is simple: He proceeded to shill for a furry-themed pump-and-dump shitcoin token that he made called FELIX. Yep. For anyone at home keeping score, we've got this guy making enemies of furries, KiwiFarms, 4chan and cybersecurity experts in under 24 hours. Truly an amazing display of the limits of human degeneracy and idiocy in action. And as if to make things worse, he's also a cryptobro and according to one tweet he posted, he owes FurAffinity $300,000 for hosting fees because the dumbass put their real name into the site and was billed for it! This isn't a hack so much as it was a Napoleonic death march into the frozen tundras of Russia. Except that would imply that he had any victories or was somehow successful in life beforehand.

A lot of the information for this article came from an active thread on Twitter by user @Hakopla1. Go follow them.

I'd also like to take a moment to redirect you to a fundraiser that was set up by someone else that'll go towards helping the family of the late Dragoneer, the founder of FurAffinity. Please share the link with anyone that you can.
